Blackhawk Schools
Blackhawk has no schools within any of the various neighborhoods, but schools for all ages are close by, and as part of the San Ramon Valley Unified School District, they are universally acclaimed.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to state with absolute certainty, which school your children will attend, as they are sometimes impacted by demand. Nevertheless, a call to the School District will generally answer that question quickly. The schools that normally service the Blackhawk neighborhoods are as follows.
Tassajara Hills Elementary School
Located close to Blackhawk Country Club's east gate, on Camino Tassajara, Tassajara Hills is an excellent school with around 650 students in grades K-5. Their standards are high and their students achieve excellent grades as does the school itself with an API of 942, one of the highest across the school district.
Diablo Vista Middle School
Diablo Vista Middle School was established in 2000, and is located on Camino Tassajara, mid-way between Tassajara Hills Elementary School and Blackhawk Plaza. The school houses 670 students (6th - 8th grade) and their campus includes a computer lab, a video production studio, five fully equipped science labs, choral and instrumental music classrooms, an art lab, and a home economics lab. They also have a fifteen-acre field that provides a state-of-the-art all-weather track and field, a full-size baseball field and a full-size softball field.
Monte Vista High School
Monte Vista High School is located on Stone Valley Road, close to the border with Alamo. Home of the Mustangs, this National Blue Ribbon School of over 2,000 students has been operative for over 45 years. It has an API of just under 900 and a GreatSchools.net score of 10 out of 10.
